According to Ministry of Tourism of India, foreign tourist arrivals in India registered a growth of 9.7% in 2014 as compared to previous Year. In coming days number of tourist arrival will increase if Indian government will start Visa on arrival facilities to 180 countries. Currently VoA facility is available for 08 countries and Japan is number one to get this VoA facility followed by New Zealand , Philippines & Indonesia.
However recent incidents in India specially violence on women & Badaun rape incident tarnish the image of India & many woman travelers do not want to travel India. They think India is not safe for woman traveler. New Tourism Minister should take step and brand the image of India in western countries that India is safe for everybody. We should higher women tourist Police to popular tourist circuit like in Golden Triangle Tour ,Goa and many other tourist places.
